2. Chinguacousy Park
Recognized as the largest park in Brampton, the Donald M Gordon Chinguacousy Park is in the Bramalea section. During the spring and the summer, there are plenty of activities to get into, including water activities, a train ride, a petting zoo, a tropical garden, a skate park, and much more.
In the fall, you can walk around the park to observe the spectacular sights, or you could check out the two great playgrounds, which are perfect for children to burn off some energy. 3. Gage Park
Check out the unique high park better known as Gage Park. Officially opening in 1903, this park is Brampton’s oldest municipal park. The park features trails for jogging and rollerblading, a wading pool, large trees, a gazebo, floral gardens, summer evening concerts, and a children’s play area.
Many city events take place at Gage Park, such as classic car exhibitions and a rollerblading event coupled with rock ‘n’ roll and ribs, aptly named the Rib’n’Roll. 4. BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir
If you’re the exploring type, the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir is undoubtedly worth the trip. This Hindu place of worship serves as an authentic piece of India right in the heart of Brampton. However, you’ll have to drive about 20 minutes from Brampton.

5. Heart Lake Conservatory
Occupying an impressive 169 hectares of land, the Heart Lake Conservation Area is simply gorgeous, with a massive lake in the center with lush green scenery. It’s a great place with many activities to get into. Feel free to camp on the grounds while roasting marshmallows and gazing at the beautiful stars at night.
The park has more than 50 kilometres of single technical tracks and double tracks, which are perfect for mountain biking. There are also fishing opportunities and a golf course in the park.

6. Peel Art Gallery
The Peel Art Gallery, also called PAMA, is a prominent art center with various sections for permanent collection pieces and others for exhibitions. Eldorado Park is an excellent family activity that has something for everyone. There are two playgrounds for children to run around and burn off energy, restrooms on the premises, five picnic areas, and more. There’s also an outdoor pool accessible when the weather permits.

8. Toronto Zoo
While it’s about 45 minutes away, the Toronto Zoo is a preferred destination for those visiting Brampton. It is the largest zoo in the country, with a unique design. There are seven sections separated into geographic regions where you find certain species.

9. Professor’s Lake Recreation Center
The Professor’s Lake Recreation Center has plenty of indoor and outdoor activities. The seasonal lake and beach are available for various water activities, and there’s also a trail that goes around the lake for cycling or a stroll.

If you’re a nature lover or enjoy the fresh air and open space to roam, you don’t want to miss a chance to visit the Claireville Conservation Area. It’s on the Peel Region and Toronto border, while most of the park is in Brampton.
Just west of the Humber River, the conservation area has trails and multiple wildlife species, and they offer educational programs and camps during the summer.
